Quiz answers (back)
The rest of the Bible has much more to say about these but these are keys to keep in mind as you study.
1. Where in the Bible do we read about the resurrection of Christ? (key chapters)
Matt 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20-21, Acts 1, 1Cor 15
It's easy to remember the first few – last chapters of the gospels. Next is the 1st chapter of Acts, then you just have to remember 1Cor 15.
2. Where in the Bible do we read about His ascension?
This is trickier – not all of the gospel records His ascension…Mark 16, Luke 24, Acts 1
3. What does His resurrection mean to you?
Answer – That the work for salvation, for the forgiveness of sins, is finished.
What does finished means?
FINISHED means - There is nothing more to be done. There is nothing that we can add. It is absolutely and completely finished. It is perfect.
See Ps 116 and Hebrews 9-10 Heb 9: 26-28, Heb 10:11-14, Heb 10: 18
4. What does His ascension mean to you?
That He is alive, sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us, awaiting the time to claim those who are His and to establish His kingdom on earth.
